in my mind they kissed so I REJECT YOUR REALITY AND INSERT MY OWN GLEE.
Actually I blame the network, not the creators. There are entire divisions devoted to what you’re allowed to show or not, and they literally send notes back to the show-runners saying “Cut that kiss, it’s too much”. Especially since in certain episodes we know from interviews that they’ve filmed a lot more than they showed - i.e. First Time, where apparently they “went at it” (in Lea’s retelling) and we got Kurt, Blaine, and the Holy Spirit on that bed…it’s not RIB’s fault. It might be the writer of the particular episode, but more often than not it’s because the network has made clear what can and can’t air.
